We will be changing the way in which YouTube is filtered for users in SWGfL who do not have a proxy configured in their browser. Access to YouTube for these users is currently policed at the network level independently of the prevailing RM SafetyNet web filtering policy. Following this change, all users will be subject to the prevailing RM SafetyNet web filtering policy.
This change should not affect your access to YouTube. However, if this is not the case then please check your RM SafetyNet filtering policy and ensure that youtube.com is allowed or denied, as appropriate. Note also that YouTube is blocked by the Web-Based Social Networking list, so you may need to add a custom web filtering rule.
This change will *not* affect users who *do* have a proxy configured in their browser, and all users at schools with a local web filtering solution.
